John Lennox to Speak at Samford February 27

Mathematician/philosopher John Lennox will speak at Samford University on the topic "Science and the 'God Question'" Monday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. in Reid Chapel. The public is invited free of charge.

Dr. Lennox is Fellow in Mathematics and Philosophy of Science and chaplain at Green College, University of Oxford, and Senior Fellow of the Whitefield Institute in Oxford. Visiting Fellow at Oxford's Mathematical Institute, he also lectures on faith and science at the Oxford Centre for Evangelism and Apologetics.

He has a particular interest in the frontier areas of science, philosophy and theology, and has lectured on Christian apologetics in many universities. He is co-author of a number of books, including Christianity: Opium or Truth?, Key Biblical Concepts, The Bible and Moral Education and The Definition of Christianity.

The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion. Panelists are Dr. Wilton Bunch, professor in Samford's Beeson Divinity School; Kurt Kristenson, biology teacher at The Altamont School; and Tim Richey, president and CEO of McWane Science Center.
