Paul Aucoin, Dean of Academic Services and Registrar at Samford
University, received two top national honors April 18 during the annual meeting of the
American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) in
Charlotte, N.C.
He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award and the Achieving

organization that the same person has received both awards.
Also during the meeting, he was elected chair-elect of AACRAO's
1999-2000 Nominations and Elections Committee by vote of the membership.
Dr. Aucoin was cited for his committee work, presentations at
conferences and service as editor of the recently revised Academic Record and
Transcript Guide. He has led AACRAO in creating and implementing electronic tools
which benefit membership communication. He is also editor of AACRAO NetNews and assists
with production of Data Dispenser, AACRAO's monthly newsletter.
AACRAO includes 9,000 members from the U.S., Canada, South America,
Europe and Asia.
