Samford University’s 2009 Homecoming Court has
been chosen by vote of the members’ respective classes. The court will
participate in Homecoming activities this weekend (Nov. 6-8).
Court members are: freshmen Abby Sander of
Jacksonville, Fla., and Tanner Fox of Lakeland, Fla.; sophomores Kelly
Polo of Peachtree City, Ga., and Grant Willis of Millbrook, Ala.;
juniors Amy Allen of Duluth, Ga., and Rich Havard of Gloster, Miss.;
and seniors Bee Frederick of Montgomery, Ala., Holly Long of Macon,
Ga., Josh Perkins of Woodville, Ala., Tai Richardson of Opelika, Ala.,
Mary Laura Rogan of Vestavia Hills, Ala., and Zack Seanor of
The Homecoming queen and honor escort will be
chosen from the senior representatives. The court will be introduced at
halftime of the Samford football game against Georgia Southern on
Saturday. Kickoff is 2:30 p.m. in Seibert Stadium.
Homecoming weekend events include alumni reunion
activities and a parade on campus at 11 a.m. on Saturday. James
Briscione, a 2001 Samford graduate who has been a repeat champion on
the Food Network show
Chopped!, will be the grand marshal.
