Samford's Jazz Ensemble will perform with Grammy Award-winning composer and performer Mace Hibbard, saxophone, this Thursday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Brock Recital Hall. The concert is free-of-charge and open to the public.

"Mace is one of the most exciting young saxophonists on the scene today and is a fantastic educator and performer," said Samford Director of Jazz Studies Cameron "Chip" Crotts.

In addition to the Jazz Ensemble concert, Hibbard will lead a masterclass for Samford students and other interested performers Thursday afternoon from 1:45-3:20 p.m. in Brock Recital Hall.

Sonny Harris, drums, also will perform as a guest at the Jazz Ensemble concert Thursday evening.
