Wayne Flynt to Speak at Samford Wednesday

Auburn University professor and social justice commentator Dr. Wayne Flynt will speak at Samford University Wednesday (MARCH 19) on the topic "Poverty, Social Justice and the Bible: Industrialization in Alabama." The talk will be at 7 p.m. in Reid Chapel. The public is invited.

Dr. Flynt, a Samford graduate, is Distinguished University Professor at Auburn. His books include Poor But Proud: Alabama's Poor Whites, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and Alabama Baptists: Southern Baptists in the Heart of Dixie.

His talk is sponsored by the Samford College Society.
