Neff, Brewer to Speak as Samford Graduates 880

David Neff, executive editor of "Christianity Today" and "Books & Culture" magazines, will deliver the Samford University commencement address Saturday, May 20.

Neff will speak during 10 a.m. exercises in Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex Arena. Neff has been editor of "Christianity Today" for 15 years.

Former Governor Albert P. Brewer, Distinguished Professor of Law and Government at Samford, will speak at Commencement for Samford's Cumberland School of Law, also Saturday, May 20. The law school commencement is at 3 p.m. in Wright Center at Samford.

A total of 880 seniors from 25 states and three foreign nations will receive degrees during Commencement Weekend.

Other Commencement Weekend activities include a reception for seniors and their families from 3 until 5 p.m. in Beeson University Center and Baccalaureate services at 8 p.m. in Wright Center-both Friday, May 19. Dr. Robert Vickers, Director of Chaplaincy Evangelism for the North American Mission Board, will deliver the Baccalaureate sermon.
