Community Bankers to Receive Certificates at Samford Tuesday

The Community Banking School (CBS) at Samford University will graduate its Class of 2000 Tuesday (SEPT. 12). The 28 graduates, representing Alabama banks in18 counties, have completed two years of courses sponsored by the Samford School of Business and the Community Bankers Association of Alabama (CBAA).

WVTM-13 news anchor Mike Royer will speak at the noon graduation ceremony in the Flag Colonnade Room of Beeson University Center at Samford.

The Community Banking School, established in 1993, offers management education to bankers throughout Alabama. Classes provide intensive study of all aspects of community banking, including customer service and bank operations, loans and regulations, and bank management.

Samford business professor John Venable is CBS director. Scott Latham is executive director of the CBAA.
