Posted by Mary Wimberley on 2001-03-08

Thirty-one Samford University students will take the results of months of research and preparation to the National Conference on Undergraduate Research at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky., March 14-18.

The students were selected to participate through a review process in which they competed with students nationwide for available spots on the program.

Research topics range from why people invest, researched by a student who is a business major and psychology minor, to the health care needs of Mexican migrant workers in Alabama, studied by a nursing major who is a Spanish minor.

The students will present their papers before an audience of academic peers. Disciplines represented include various subjects in the arts and sciences, business, education and nursing.
