Baseball Bulldogs Stay Alive With Win Over Mississippi State

The Samford Bulldogs continued their historic, record-breaking season with a come-from-behind 3-2 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs Sunday (June 3) in an NCAA tournament elimination game in Tallahassee, Fla. Samford will face host Florida State tonight at 7 p.m. ET. The game can be viewed on ESPN3 or heard via the Internet at www.samford.edu/wvsu. With a win tonight, the Bulldogs would force a deciding elimination game against Florida State on Monday night to determine who moves on to next week's Super Regionals.

Samford, the Southern Conference tournament champions, lost to Florida State 8-1 Saturday night.

It was Samford's second tournament win over MSU, the Southeastern Conference tournament champions.
