Step Sing Tickets On Sale Jan. 31

Tickets for Samford University's 2014 Step Sing will go on sale Friday, Jan. 31, at 9 a.m. Central Standard Time.

The process of procuring tickets for the event will be similar to last year, according to Beth Roller, Samford's director of student activities. They can be purchased online at http://tickets.samford.edu. There are no advance sales or telephone orders.

Step Sing 2014 is Feb. 13-15. With the addition of a Saturday matinee show, this year's Step Sing will have four total shows for patrons to attend.

Tickets for the Thursday show are $20 for floor seats and $23 for balcony seats, while the weekend shows (Friday, and Saturday) are $26 for floor seats and $30 for balcony seats.

A live stream of the Saturday evening performance will be available. The live stream can be ordered beginning Jan. 31 at http://www.samford.edu/stepsing/default.aspx?id=45097180719.

For students performing in the show, the process of getting tickets begins on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Students can pick up wristbands in Harry’s Coffeehouse at 9 a.m.They will then report to the Bashinsky Fieldhouse computer lab to purchase tickets for their families and friends. he times to report to the computer lab will be e-mailed to students and will depend on the color of their wristband, according to Roller.

Students will only be able to order 18 total tickets, Roller explained. There is a limit of 10 tickets for the Thursday show, six tickets for the Saturday matinee show, and two tickets for the Saturday evening show per student.

This will be the 63rd year for Samford's student-produced talent show.
