Brock M.B.A. Curriculum Going Online
Beginning with the fall 2014 semester, Samford University's Brock School of Business will offer their entire M.B.A. curriculum in an online format. The new online option will make Brock's M.B.A. program more flexible for those who want to get an M.B.A. but are unable to attend class on campus. Plans call for all foundation and core courses to be offered both on campus and online during each academic year. The online format opens up the degree program to students currently living beyond the Birmingham metropolitan area.
"Our new online program will allow a student to complete our program within their own time frame," said Barbara Cartledge, assistant dean of academic programs. "We have a number of alums who would like to earn an M.B.A. from the Brock School, but who are unable to attend class on campus."
Online courses will offer the same quality education as students receive in the classroom, including case-based course delivery, which incorporates real-world and corporate learning paradigms, course projects with practical application for regional firms, and inter-discipline team collaboration, Cartledge said. Five optional concentrations are possible in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, international business and marketing.
The Brock M.B.A. is a part-time on-campus and online program delivered by the outstanding faculty members with both public and private sector experience. Accepted students may begin the program any semester, and individual advisement is available through the Brock School Academic Programs Office. Scholarships are available for qualified students.
The Brock M.B.A. part-time program has been ranked as #188 for 2014 in U.S. News & World Report. In addition, OnlineMBAPage.com ranks the Brock School of Business M.B.A. program as one of the Top 25 Social Media Friendly Programs in the United States.
