The "Roaring Twenties" are set to roar to life again in Samford's Wright Center April 30-May 2 as Samford's School of the Arts presents the Tony Award-winning musical comedy "Thoroughly Modern Millie". Performances will be April 30 and May 1 at 7:30 p.m., and May 2 at 2:30 p.m.

Set in New York City in 1922, the Broadway hit tells the story of Millie Dillmount, a small-town girl who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself.

Filled with the "anything goes" music, dancing, fashions and social attitudes of the jazz age, "Millie'"promises smart fun for all.

"Thoroughly Modern Millie" is sponsored by Michael J. and Mary Anne Freeman in honor of Jesse Bates, directed by Mark Castle and choreographed by Roger Van Fleteren of the Alabama Ballet, with musical direction by Milburn Price.

Tickets are $12 (adult,) $9 (55+,) and $6 (student/child).  Call 726-2853 or buy tickets online at http://www4.samford.edu/arts/tickets/
