Posted by Mary Wimberley on 2010-09-02

Registration is ongoing for Fall classes in Samford University’s Samford After Sundown program of professional and personal development courses. Courses begin on various dates throughout the fall.

The Samford After Sundown program includes more than 50 courses in the areas of arts and humanities, fitness and recreation, languages, photography, writing and other topics. New courses this fall include basic technical drawing, advanced photography, fishes and aquatic biology, open art studio, chess, and beginning improvisation and comedy.

Certificate programs involving multiple courses are available in photography, health-care interpreter training, pharmacy technician training, and natural history.  New this year, the natural history program certificate serves as a pathway to Alabama Master Naturalist certification.

Most courses meet in the evenings for about six weeks. The long-popular afternoon antiques class taught by Daniel Brooks meets on Tuesdays, 2-4 p.m., Sept. 28-Nov. 2.

For information, go to www.samford.edu/sundown or call the Samford After Sundown office at (205) 726-2739.
