Frequently asked questions about the congregational health program
How does it help my church?
•Reclaims the church's role in health, healing and wholeness.
•Teaches about the relationship between faith and health.
•Develops a ministry focused on whole person health-spiritual, physical and emotional.
•Supplies the church with tools to assess the needs and wants of the congregation in regard to health issues.
•Trains the Health Ministry team that is formed for the church.
•Creates an infrastructure of volunteers who utilize their gifts, talents, experiences, and/or professional expertise to minister to the congregation and greater community.
 
How do I apply to become a partner in the Congregational Health Program?
There are 2 forms that must be completed to partner in the program. A Congregational Health Worksheet that gives the Coordinator information that assists in training the Health Ministry Team that is formed and a Covenant Agreement. The Covenant Agreement specifically states what the church promises to do and what the Congregational Health Program will offer and supply to the church. When these two forms are completed and turned into the Coordinator, the church is then partnered.  
Does it cost the church any money?
The program is free to interested churches
Does the size of the congregation matter?
•The Congregational Health Program has churches that are from 30 members to 6,000 members. Any size church will be able to develop this ministry.  
Do you have to have medically trained people within the church?
•You do not have to have medically trained people to develop this ministry. Through the training offered to the ministry team, the connection to the medical community is explained.
