MINISTERS OF THE YEAR – Each fall, Samford honors ministers from across Alabama with the minister of the year designation. Honored in 2003 were (left to right) Bill Morgan, director of missions for Autauga Baptist Association, metro director of missions of the year; Jack Wright, director of missions for Clarke Baptist Association, town and country director of missions of the year; M. R. Bradley, pastor of Benton Baptist Church, Selma, minister of the year for churches from 1-300 members; Harlon Hood ‘74, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, Somerville, churches from 301-1000; D'Linell Finley, part-time pastor of Southlawn and Rock of Ages Baptist churches, Montgomery, bivocational pastor of the year; and Jay Wolf, pastor of First Baptist Church, Montgomery, churches with more than 1000 members. Samford President Thomas E. Corts (far right) made the presentations at a breakfast honoring the ministers of the year.
