Our Story

This past Saturday, as the temperature dropped and light rain began to fall, we sat in the comfort of the Wright Center to confer 227 degrees on our most recent collection of graduates. They came to us from points across Alabama and around the globe. Many of them endured the loss of family members and financial hardships during their time with us. They became competent in their chosen fields of study. They were taught by gifted and caring members of our faculty. They made friendships during moments of celebration and moments of grief. They gained a vision for how they may be used by God to be agents of change for a world in need. By 11 a.m. Saturday morning, these women and men became the living embodiment of our mission.

The world is better because of Samford graduates.
