Our Story

David Foreman, a member of our faculty in the Department of Math and Computer Science, passed along the news last week that Zac Epperson, a junior math major and Air Force ROTC cadet, is one of 95 cadets from across the United States invited to participate in the Advanced Course in Engineering (ACE) Cyber Security Boot Camp during the summer of 2010.  This ACE is described as “an elite program for developing cyber officers.”  The cadets will receive education in Information Operations Fundamentals, Network Defense, Cryptography, Computer Security, and Digital Forensics, among other current topics.  As well, each cadet will work on research problems in the areas of cyber operations, signal intelligence, and information processing, mentoring with the leading experts of the Air Force.

The world is better because of Zac Epperson.
