Greetings to our Samford friends!
As we anticipate our move to Birmingham, Jeanna, Riley, and I remain grateful for your letters, e-mail messages, telephone calls, and prayers. On the home front in Arkansas, we’re doing our best to finish our work at Ouachita and to get ready for this new chapter in our lives.
Ouachita’s Commencement ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 13. If all goes as planned, the moving van will arrive the next week at our home in Arkadelphia to transport our belongings to Birmingham. I’ll have to make a couple of trips back and forth between Arkansas and Alabama during the last two weeks of May, then I will be on the job as president on June 1. Jeanna and I are scheduled for another “get acquainted” trip to Birmingham in late March. After that visit, I will post an update to this site with additional details regarding our plans for the late spring and summer.
I’ve enjoyed reading your postings in the “I want to hear from you” portion of this website. If you have not already taken the time to write to me, please take a few minutes to do so.
