Home games with three-time defending national champion Appalachian State and cross-town rival Miles College, and a road game at Ole Miss highlight the 2008 football schedule. The Ole Miss game will be Samford's first against an SEC opponent since 1993.

"We are excited about moving into a new conference and about our trip to Ole Miss," Samford head coach Pat Sullivan said. "We are also looking forward to playing a cross-town rival in Miles. This should be an exciting year and a very challenging schedule."
