Choral Festival Brings Brings More Than 1,000 To Samford

A choir rehearsingSamford University is hosting about 1,000 middle school and high school vocalists during the Alabama Vocal Association's All- State Choral Festival through Saturday, March 3. The festival is Alabama's premiere high school and middle school choral event, bringing to Samford not only the students but also hundreds of teachers, chaperones and parents.

Choirs and soloists from schools throughout the state are involved in the three-day event, which began March 1.

The Festival will include a middle school concert Friday at 7 p.m. and a high school concert Saturday at 2 p.m., both in Samford's Wright Center Concert Hall. The public is invited.
