Noted Constitutional Law Scholar Chemerinsky To Speak on Roberts Court

We, the People (The United States Constitution)Erwin Chemerinsky, the Alston & Bird Professor of Law & Political Science at Duke University, will deliver Samford's 2007 Rushton Lecture Tuesday, March 13 at 4:15 p.m. in the Moot Court Room of Cumberland School of Law.

Chemerinsky is considered to be one of the country's top Constitutional Law scholars and litigators, and recently was named one of the top 20 legal thinkers in the United States. At Samford he will address the subject of "The Roberts Court and the Future of Constitutional Law."

"The Roberts court will affect our law for at least the next generation and this is an excellent opportunity to hear from a leading constitutional law expert about what the Robert's Court's view of the Constitution is likely to be," said Cumberland Dean John Carroll.

The Rushton Lecture series, which annually brings a nationally known speaker to campus, is free-of-charge and open to the public.
