"... She will share about her experiences as a mother, a woman of faith and growing up as the daughter of a politician and diplomat..."
Doro Bush Koch, daughter and sister of two U.S. presidents, will speak May 2 at the Samford Auxiliary spring luncheon. Mrs. Koch is author of My Father My President: A Personal Account of the Life of George H. W. Bush.
The annual event, which highlights the Auxiliary’s scholarship program, begins at 11:30 a.m. at Cahaba Grand Conference Center, formerly HealthSouth Conference Center, in Birmingham.
Tickets for the luncheon are $30 per person. A special $75 patron ticket includes the luncheon, a specially autographed copy of Mrs. Koch’s book and a private reception with Mrs. Koch from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Tickets are available through www.samfordtickets.com or by calling (205) 726-2807.
Mrs. Koch is a mother of four and has the unique perspective of observing the presidencies of both her father and her brother, current U.S. President George W. Bush. She will share about her experiences as a mother, a woman of faith and growing up as the daughter of a politician and diplomat.
The Samford Auxiliary has about 1,400 members and has an endowment through the university that provides about 25 scholarships annually to Samford students. Proceeds from the patrons reception will benefit the scholarship program.
The Alabama Booksmith is the presenting sponsor for the luncheon.
