Alumni Update: Remember Hollywood, Alumna In Crisis

Samford Goes Hollywood

A reminder for our friends in Southern California: Samford parents and alumni will gather at a reception at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood on Thursday, May 22 from 7-9 p.m.

"We're really excited about the alumni event in Los Angeles and I hope we can build a regular schedule of events," said David Goodwin, Director of Alumni & Parents Programs. "Liz Simmons and others have expressed a willingness to help organize events and we always appreciate that kind of support."

Alumni Rally Around Wolf Family

The Samford community around Los Angeles and throughout the country has come together to support Katherine Arnold Wolf `04 following a recent medical emergency.  Wolf (ZTA, Miss Samford and Samford Auxiliary scholarship recipient) suffered a rare neurological malady and was rushed to the emergency room on April 21. She remains in critical condition, but is making progress. "Her husband Jay, also a Samford alumnus, is by her side and I hope everyone will keep them in prayer," Goodwin said.
