Class of 1958 To Reunite May 16 and 17Plans are underway for a celebration of the first class to graduate from Samford's Homewood campus May 16 & 17, 2008.

“This is a group of alumni who made so much possible,” said David Goodwin, director of alumni and parents programs.  He noted that many 1958 graduates may remember the campus as a sea of mud. “Of course we still have a few construction projects going on, but it’s a much different place than when they graduated in May of 1958.”

Planned activities include a tour of campus (sans mud,) a reunion dinner and presentation of 50th Anniversary diplomas.

Attendees also will have the opportunity to participate in Samford's first on-campus Commencement exercises in more than 20 years.
