"... Wilson’s ministry reflects interdenominational and ecumenical endeavors, including board leadership as well as grant development..."
Michael K. Wilson is the new director of Samford's Resource Center for Pastoral Excellence (RCPE). Wilson will work closely with Lilly Grant Coordinator Penny Marler in continuing to offer services for the enhancement and enrichment of ministers’ lives. Having worked with ministers and served as a minister himself, Wilson has firsthand knowledge of the needs of ministers.
With over twenty-five years experience serving congregations and other nonprofit organizations, Wilson brings both personal and professional expertise to the role of director. He is a Samford alumnus with a master of religious education degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and with Clinical Pastoral Education training from the former Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham.
Wilson has a background in the development and implementation of lifelong Christian formation programs in congregations of varying sizes and age ranges. His leadership in administration has included experience with program evaluation, grant writing and capital fundraising. Wilson’s ministry reflects interdenominational and ecumenical endeavors, including board leadership as well as grant development.
The RCPE's services are available to ministers of any denomination or race, both male and female.
