"... The deadline for 2006 nominations to the Alabama Men's Hall of Fame is Wednesday, March 15..."
The Alabama Men's Hall of Fame, a permanent display hosted by University Library, recognizes those men native to or identified most closely with the state of Alabama who have made significant contributions on a state, national, or international scale within their professional field of activity and concern.
The deadline for 2006 nominations to the Alabama Men's Hall of Fame is Wednesday, March 15. Nomination forms are available by calling (205) 223-0109 or (205) 726-2349. Nominees must have been deceased at least two years.
Established by the Alabama legislature in 1987, the hall parallels the Alabama Women's Hall of Fame at Judson College, Samford's sister institution.
The hall is governed by a 14-member board representing Alabama's seven congressional districts. The Birmingham Women's Committee of 100 works with Samford to plan the annual fall induction ceremony, at which it inducts one or two members.
