The Samford University band program will celebrate its 80th anniversary
with a barbecue picnic Saturday, Nov. 8, prior to the Samford football
game against Jacksonville State. All former band members are invited
to the free event, which begins at 11 a.m. in the north end zone of Seibert
Stadium (Band alumni should enter the stadium through the south end zone).
Football game kickoff is at 1 p.m.
In addition to enjoying the barbecue, football and fellowship of Samford
band alumni, guests will have the opportunity to become charter members
of Samford Band Support. The new group seeks to provide funding for band
scholarships, instruments and programs.

If you can't reach our office by phone, plan to attend the picnic and
game anyway.
