New Alumni E-mail Service To Debut This Month

On Sunday morning, November 16, 2003, Samford University will activate a new e-mail service for alumni and students. Users of the current alumni e-mail system will notice little difference in the new, web-based system known as GroupWise. Their current user and ID and password will automatically be carried over to the new system. As before, access will be available via a button in the top right corner of Samford's homepage.

On Saturday, February 14, 2004, the old e-mail system will be removed from service. Until that date users will be able to access old e-mail accounts. Users who wish to save old e-mail messages from those accounts should print them or save them to a hard drive BEFORE FEBRUARY 14, 2004.

Internet Browser Requirements: The new system requires the use of Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later for Windows machines, and Internet Explorer version 5.2 or later for Macintosh machines. The new system does not support Netscape.
