Samford Standards High, So Is Ranking
Dr. Thomas E. Corts

Burst of Energy
Opening of the new Sciencenter this fall heralds a burst of new energy and emphasis on the sciences at Samford. Student learning is the dominant focus in the new home of the biology, chemistry and physics departments.

Amazing Discovery
Sixteen-year old Brad Roller made a remarkable discovery as he was perusing the cover of the recently released book, War Letters: Extraordinary Correspondence from American Wars.

Heart for Teaching
Buchanan Award winner David Little wants his students to master the content of courses. But developing a "heart for teaching" is just as important, says the education professor.

Tool Shed Development
Lynn Easterling '68 developed a better mousetrap, or in this case, a better indicator lockout system for College Bowls and industry training sessions. Today, Quik Pro--designed in a tool shed--sells in 50 states and on five continents.

Samford Ranked 5th in South by U.S. News & World Report

Despite Many Changes, Samford Seal Retains its Official Aura
