At left is the Cathedral in Eskilstuna. On September 9 I went there for Sunday services, where surprisingly there were only three people in a room for 500. Hummm! Nevertheless, it's a nice building.
Just to prove that I'm really here in Sweden, take a look at Captain Ron. My latest deal was to barter the old greenhouses on Russell Hall for a new-ish yacht here in Sweden. |
![]() On my latest trip to the west coast of Sweden, I spent one day touring the city of Gotenberg and interacting with a group in the Department of Physiology in a discussion of environmental androgens. The Gotenberg botannical gardens has an exceptional greenhouse with 4000 species of tropical and semitropical plants. There was even a room of southeastern USA species -- surroundings that made me feel at home.
We spent the night in this small cottage, which is owned by Per Karsnas, the chair of Biology/Chemistry. (Hummm, one chair and two departments!) I see why he works Monday to Thursday noon in the department and spends Thursday to Monday on this island.
