JSU Field Schools
A project of EPIC, the Environmental Policy and Information Center. Take the opportunity to learn about the unique cultural and natural history of Northeast Alabama.

Purpose of the Project

The Alabama Wetlands Committee was formed to create and maintain an informative website about the wetlands areas in the state.  The committee hopes to increase awareness of the importance of wetlands and the functions they provide, as well to encourage protection of these valuable areas in our state.

By providing a unique Alabama resource for teachers and concerned citizens, this website supports environmental education, appreciation of natural habitats, and improvement of water quality.

This website was developed and is maintained by Samford University, the Alabama Wetlands Website Committee, and partially funded by a grant from Cawaco Resource Conservation & Development Council.   Committee members are Lawrence J. Davenport, Kelly Harbin, Sallie Lee, Scott Rosen, Linda Sherk, & Linda F. Wood. Questions and comments?   Please contact Alabama Wetlands Committee.
