Dr. Bryan Johnson has been teaching at Samford for nine years. He teaches creative writing, literary theory, and film.

He received bachelors and masters degrees in English from Mississippi State University. He earned his Ph.D. in English (Creative Writing) from the University of Denver.

A publishing poet, his poems have appeared in New American Writing, the Denver Quarterly, Sulfur, American Letters & Commentary, and the Paris Review.
