The Department of Mathematics strongly recommends that students planning on
graduate studies in mathematics take MATH 430 Abstract Algebra and MATH 440
Introductory Real Analysis. Such students are likely to take at least one or
two courses more than the minimum requirement for the major.
Note: Students may also receive secondary certification by
completing 44 credits of professional studies. Contact the chair of the Department
