Professor Reyes earned her BA from The University of Alabama
and her MA from The University of Akron. In addition, she
has completed the coursework for the PhD in Romance Languages
with a concentration in Spanish and a double minor in Latin
and French. Ms. Reyes lived in Mexico for 15 years where
she taught at the University of Mexico (La Universidad Autonoma
de Mexico). Ms. Reyes has presented on more than a dozen
occasions at universities throughout the United States on
the subject of “Immersion Language Study”. One of her most
recent presentations was chosen as a finalist for the Best
Presentation at NECTFUL 2007, and she was nominated for
Best Foreign Language Teacher of the Year by AAFLT in 2006.
Professor Reyes is currently teaching the first and second
year sequences at Samford.
