Pamela K. Boyer, Certified Genealogist and Certified Genealogical Lecturer, is a professional genealogist
specializing in Southeast Missouri, methodology, migration paths into and out of Missouri, and effective use of
computer tools for genealogists. She is co-author of Online Roots: How to Discover Your Family’s History and Heritage
with the Power of the Internet (Nashville, Tenn.: Rutledge Hill Press, 2003) and Research in Missouri (Washington,
D.C.: NGS, 1999); she is also FGS FORUM’s Digitools columnist. Pam is an honorary life member of St. Louis Genealogical
Society, a former board member of the Federation of Genealogical Societies, a former genealogy instructor at St. Louis
Community College, and past editor of the Association of Professional Genealogists Quarterly. She has spoken at
genealogy conferences and seminars in twenty-five states.
Boyer holds a Bachelor of University Studies with emphasis in English, Sociology, and History from Eastern New Mexico
University, and completed some course work toward a Masters in Computer Information Systems at Bentley College, Waltham,
Massachusetts. She is a former software documentation specialist and trainer.
