Hollis L. Gentry is a Special Projects Researcher at the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) where she documents the participation of African Americans and Native Americans in the Revolutionary War. She formerly served as a Genealogist with the Society. Active in the genealogy field for many years, her research interests include the Freedmen's Bureau, the Freedman's Bank and free and enslaved African Americans in Norfolk, Virginia.
