Birdie Monk Holsclaw is a genealogical researcher, writer, lecturer,
and editor; winner of 2003 NGS Family History Writing Contest; current
major research project is compiling family histories for earliest students
at the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind, all children of Colorado
pioneer families; member of GENTECH's Lexicon Working Group (1996-1999);
contributing author, Professional Genealogy; has served as a board member
or committee chair for the Association of Professional Genealogists and
the Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS), and indexer of the National
Genealogical Society (NGS) Quarterly; lecturer at numerous NGS and FGS
conferences since 1990.
Birdie Holsclaw and Mary Bell have collaborated on
land platting workshops since 1995, together or with other partners for both
NGS and FGS national conferences.
