Lecturer: Course 10
David S. Ouimette is the Manager of Collection Management at the Family and Church History Department in Salt Lake City.
His responsibilities include identifying the most valuable records for genealogical research worldwide, prioritizing
the records in the Granite Mountain Records Vault for digitization, and specifying how these records will be indexed
for ready access on the Internet. He previously worked in software development and product management at The Generations
Network. David has conducted on-site research in Quebec, Ireland, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium,
The Netherlands, and many U.S. states. His research specialties include Ireland, Quebec, and New England.
He has contributed articles to Ancestry Magazine, APG Quarterly, The Septs, and BYU Family Historian.
David is the author of Finding Your Irish Ancestors: A Beginner's Guide. (Provo: Ancestry, 2005).
