Christine Rose is a full-time professional
genealogist with many years experience. She lectures nationally at various
institutes, conferences, and seminars. Rose received the prestigious Donald
Lines Jacobus Award in 1987 for two Rose genealogies and was elected a
Fellow of the American Society of Genealogists in 1988.
In addition, she has compiled several
other books including Courthouse Research for Family Historians: Your Guide to Genealogical Treasures,
Nicknames: Past and Present, Family Associations:
Organization and Management, Genealogical Proof Standard, Military
Pension Acts 1776-1858 and Declaration of Intention of Santa Clara
Co., Calif. 1850-1870, and co-authored The Complete Idiot's Guide
to Genealogy by Simon & Schuster (Macmillan) in 1997. She has
also authored articles published in national journals.
She is a past vice-president of the APG and a columnist
for the FGS Forum. Her specialty is on-site courthouse and archival research
for clients, which she conducts during the six months she travels annually
throughout the United States. She also specializes in Military Records,
and Federal Land Records.
