Housing On Campus

IGHR has been assigned to the Greek residence halls in West Campus -- click here for a map showing their location. We have used these halls in previous years. These are not suites; there is no common area or kitchenette. Each room contains:

• 2 beds
• 2 desks with chairs
• 2 dressers or chests of drawers
• 2 closet areas
• 1 bathroom
• AC unit control

There are phone jacks. Long distance calls are not allowed, except 800 numbers or by using a calling card.
The floors are tile and not carpet.

We have been assured by Residence Life that all beds will be returned to their normal state before the start of IGHR.

We will make every reasonable effort to honor suitemate requests by placing attendees in adjacent rooms.

Private Room: $265.00 Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon
Shared Room: $200.00 Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon

• You must provide your own soap and linens: sheets, pillows, towels, and blankets.
• Housing cost includes meals in the University Cafeteria.
• Meal tickets, parking passes and residence hall keys can be picked up on Sunday at registration in the Library.
• There is no provision made for early check-in or late check-out.
• There is no provision made for housing on campus either the Saturday night before or Friday night after IGHR.
• Transportation will be available between the residence halls, the cafeteria, classrooms, and the library.
• Deadline for on-campus registration, cancellation, and/or changes is May 30th, 2008. Pending requests are subject to room availability.

Coaches will provide transportation from the Best Western Carlton Suites and the Drury Inn. Hotels are listed below.

There are two additional hotels that are offering a discounted rate for IGHR attendees. These hotels ARE NOT conference hotels. The Shuttle Bus WILL NOT stop at these hotels. To receive the special rate, please ask for the "Samford Library Group Rate". There is a "Samford University" rate that is different so be sure to say "Samford Library."
