Admission

Audition and interview time slots are still available for the November 7-8 School of the Arts audition and interview weekend!  If you are interested in attending, please submit your applications to the Office of Admission and the School of the Arts by Friday, October 17.  For more information, contact Arts Recruiter Rachel Lim at arts@samford.edu.

Greetings from Samford University's School of the Arts!

If you plan to major in art, music, or theatre beginning in the fall of 2009, I encourage you to attend one of the School of the Arts audition and interview weekends on November 7-8, February 6-7, or February 13-14. These two-day events will provide you with opportunities to meet professors and current students, attend a Samford Arts production, and even stay overnight in the residence halls as a guest of a Samford Arts student! There are also parent information sessions with Dean Joseph Hopkins and a representative from the Office of Financial Aid on Saturday morning when you will be participating in auditions and interviews for acceptance into the School of the Arts and for scholarship consideration.

Students applying for scholarships as fine art and graphic design majors are strongly encouraged to attend the February 6-7 audition and interview weekend to participate in the Art Day festivities on Saturday, February 7, 2009.

Once you have begun the application process for admission to Samford University through the Office of Admission, you should begin the separate application process for the School of the Arts.  The application, audition and interview requirements, and more can be viewed with Adobe Reader.  You can either download the entire School of the Arts Application Packet or click the individual links in the Forms section below.  All of the materials can be either mailed in or saved as PDFs and e-mailed to arts@samford.edu.

If you’re on Facebook, I invite you to join our group for Applicants to Samford University’s School of the Arts for updates on the application and audition process and to receive invitations to attend Samford Arts events.

Please let me know how I may assist you in your college search!

Best wishes,

Rachel Lim
