
Federal and State Financial Aid
There are several federal and state assistance programs for which students may be eligible. Most of these are awarded based on financial need. In order to apply for federal or state assistance, you must first complete a free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). These forms can be obtained from the Financial Aid Office located in Samford Hall.
McWhorter School of Pharmacy Scholarships
Donations by alumni and friends make possible several scholarships just for pharmacy students. Some of these are based entirely on academic accomplishments while others are awarded on the basis of other factors including financial need, leadership, and character. To apply for a need based scholarship, a student must have on file a FAFSA form and response. The following is a partial list of these scholarships:
Loan Programs for Pharmacy Students
In addition addition to guaranteed student loans available through banks and savings institutions, there are eight loan programs available specifically for pharmacy students. Company specific loans may be available only through applications with the company.
