Our Programs

Samford has been educating working adults in the evenings for over sixty years. Our Evening College is comprised of faculty and staff who understand how valuable your time is. We have worked hard to develop a program that allows you to realize your personal or career goals by earning a degree in the evenings, without sacrificing quality in the process.

BS - Youth Studies

The Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Youth Studies program provides students with an interdisciplinary view into the cultures and dynamics of young people with an emphasis on the development of strategies for working effectively with youth in a variety of settings. Sociological principles provide the overall guiding framework for the program.

BA - Liberal Studies

The Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Liberal Studies is designed for those students who wish to earn a degree from Samford University but whose interests lie outside of the other available concentrations. It is also the most flexible of our degree plans.

The Goal of the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Organizational Leadership is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to perform as effective leaders within their organizations and society.

BA - Paralegal Studies

The paralegal certificate may be pursued concurrently with the bachelor's degree in this American Bar Association-approved program. This Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Paralegal Studies requires thirty-three credit hours of legal specialty coursework in addition to courses that will provide the paralegal with knowledge and skills in the areas of business, leadership, and effective communication.

Paralegal Studies Certificate

The certificate-only option is availible for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and wish to further their education in this 10-course program.

B.S. in Criminal Justice (anticipated fall 2014)

This program is under development.  We hope to offer admission to this degree program for fall of 2014. However, it may be possible to enroll fall 2013 as undecided and make a change to the major once it is availible.  Call us to find out how!
