Before completing the following instructions, you will need to enable IMAP from your BulldogMail account.

To enable IMAP in BulldogMail:

1. Go to http://bulldogmail.samford.edu and log in.
2. Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page.
3. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
4. Select Enable IMAP.
5. Click Save Changes.

Once you have saved the changes, you can now open Mac Mail.

·  Click Mail > Preferences....

·  On the Accounts tab, click the + button to add a new account.

·  Fill in the new window with the following information:

• Full Name: [your name]
• Email Address: your full email address username@samford.edu 
• Password: your Samford email password

·  Hold down the Alt/Option key and click Continue.

·  Fill in the following Incoming Mail Server information:

• Account Type: Select IMAP 
• Incoming Mail Server: Change this to imap.gmail.com 
• User Name: your full email address username@samford.edu 
• Password: your Samford email password

·  Click Continue.

·  Enter the following Outgoing Mail Server information:

• Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com 
• Use Authentication: selected
• User Name: your full Samford address: username@Samford.edu 
• Password: your Samford email password

·  Click Continue.

·  Review your Account Summary, and click Create.
