Introduction to Precious Metal Clay ($75): Sunday, 1-5 p.m., May 4th. Craft gorgeous silver jewelry of your own design from fine silver precious metal clay (PMC), a medium consisting of tiny particles of silver mixed with an organic binder and water. PMC can be shaped like any soft clay and can be fired in a variety of ways. The binder burns away, leaving the pure silver metal clay. Learn the basics of working with PMC, including forming, surface texturing, firing and finishing techniques. Complete a pendant with bail or a pair of earrings just in time for the holidays. The class fee includes use of all studio tools needed as well as 6.3 grams of silver PMC.
