Samford's Philosophy Department will present two free public lectures by Notre Dame philosophy professor David Solomon this Thursday, April 25, at 10 a.m. in Reid Chapel and at 3 p.m. in Brooks Auditorium.
Solomon will lecture on “Why the Life Issues Won’t Go Away?” and “Secularism and the Contemporary Assault on Human Dignity.”Solomon started teaching philosophy at Notre Dame in 1968 and is the founder of the university's Center for Ethics and Culture. His lecture "Ethics in the 20th Century" is included in the Great Teacher’s Series.
Solomon is an engaging communicator who knows how to address sensitive and complicated issues in a careful and convicting way.
Convocation credit is available for students.
