Biochemistry alumnus Danielle Bailey ’11 has earned a highly competitive National Science Foundation graduate research fellowship. The award is designed to support outstanding graduate students in the sciences and engineering who demonstrate potential for significant achievements in these areas.

Bailey is currently a graduate student at Vanderbilt University, working towards a Ph.D. in nanoparticle research. Prior to entering graduate school in 2014, Bailey served for two years as a teacher in Alabama through the Teach for America program.
