Samford Communication Studies alumna Erin Basinger '08 has earned the Liberal Arts and Sciences Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching for Graduate Teaching Assistants at the University of Illinois. After leaving Samford, Basinger completed a master's degree in Speech Communication at the University of Georgia. She is currently completing her doctoral degree in Communication at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
