Samford University’s Model United Nations (MUN) team earned five out 10 awards presented at the Mediterranean MUN Conference in Menton, France in March. More then 300 students from about 20 schools attended the conference. 

Marley Davis, representing Bangladesh in the competition, was honored as “Best Delegate.”

“Outstanding Delegate” honorees included Chandler Foust (NATO, US/Norway,) Gina Harwell (historical crisis committee,) Gabi Kim (ESOSOC, Turkey,) Emily Praktish (NATO/France).

Model United Nations is an authentic simulation of the U.N. General Assembly and other multilateral bodies. Samford teams led by advisor and political science professor Serena Simoni regularly compete, and win, in national and international MUN competitions
