Men’s Lacrosse Club

The Men’s Lacrosse Club is providing an excellent atmosphere for comradery, entertainment, exercise, and competing against other universities around the southeast. The club would like to welcome you to participate in one of the fastest growing sports in America. With continued growth, we plan to work with experience players as well as encourage new students to try our club. We will be practicing on the intramural fields 1 or 2 times a week.

The Women’s Lacrosse Club is back on campus and is wanting to get ladies interested in playing for them. They want players that are willing to work as a team, have a great attitude to adapt and compete at a high level. Men’s Ultimate Club

Ultimate Frisbee, often called Ultimate, is a non-contact sport that combines elements of soccer, basketball, and football. Competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of mutual respect and sportsmanship (“The Spirit of the Game”).

Samford Equestrian Team

The Equestrian team is to provide Samford students the opportunities and benefits of equestrian activities. The team will be a part of IHSA and practices at Indian Lake Stables in Pelham, AL. If you love to ride or want to learn then this club is for you.

Samford Golf Club

The Samford Golf Club provides an affordable and fun way to play golf. We hold practices on a weekly basis. Our members range from beginners to golfers who held D1 offers. We currently compete in the National Collegiate Club Golf Association. Whether you decide to play alongside us in tournaments or just practice with us, the Samford Golf Club provides you the opportunity to pursue golf away from home.

Samford Tennis Club

Samford Tennis Club provides competition, fun, and camaraderie for anyone who wants to join. The club accepts players of all different skill levels. This club is connected to USTA Tennis On Campus, which allows them to compete in tournaments against other schools nearby. This team is a great way to meet new people and grow as a tennis player. They practice 2 times a week at the outdoor tennis courts.

Samford Shooting Sports

The purpose of the Samford Shooting Sports organization shall be to provide the students a safe medium to promote education, responsibility, leadership, sportsmanship and a means to improve shooting skills. The club team trains its members in a competitive shotgun sports of American Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays.

Volleyball Club

The purpose of our club is to provide a competitive atmosphere for students with previous experience, without all of the stress and time commitment that goes along with typical college athletics. This organization seeks to provide a community that unites students of all ages. We will be hosting weekly practices and participating in weekend games/tournaments within the NCVF (National Collegiate Volleyball Federation).

Women's Basketball Club

The Samford Women’s Basketball Club wants to provide an opportunity for women at Samford University to play basketball competitively against other women’s basketball clubs, to build relationships with one another, and to make one another better through competition. They are looking for ladies that are interested in putting forth full effort as well as maintaining a competitive environment on the court. This team is a great way to form new friendships as well as develop as a basketball player. Practice will be held 2 or 3 times a week.
